This trip wasn\u2019t rushed. It wasn\u2019t accidental either. It was one of those journeys where every stop slowly flowed into the next \u2014 beaches to jungle, jungle to rice fields, rice fields to islands, and finally back to the cliffs. Looking back, this route felt balanced, varied, and very Bali.<\/strong><\/p>

From Europe to Bali: D\u00fcsseldorf \u2013 Dubai \u2013 Denpasar<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I flew from D\u00fcsseldorf via Dubai to Denpasar. It\u2019s a long journey, but breaking it up via Dubai made it surprisingly manageable. Once you land in Bali, the warm air hits you instantly \u2014 that familiar \u201cyou\u2019re far from home now\u201d feeling.<\/p>

No lingering at the airport. We jumped straight into the car and headed north.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our first stop was Canggu, and honestly, it\u2019s a perfect soft landing in Bali. Relaxed, social, and beachy without being overwhelming.<\/p>

We stayed two nights, which was just enough to:

\u2022 Visit a few beach clubs<\/strong>

From Canggu, we drove inland to Ubud, where the scenery changes quickly. Less ocean, more jungle.<\/p>

One Night at Padma Resort Ubud\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This was hands down one of the highlights of the entire trip. Hidden deep in the jungle, surrounded by nothing but green, this resort is an experience on its own. Infinity pool overlooking the valley, misty mornings, complete silence \u2014 if you can stay here even for one night, do it. It resets your entire trip.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Two Nights in Ubud Town\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

After Padma, we moved into Ubud town, staying in a small local guesthouse. Simple, central, and perfect for exploring.<\/p>

From Ubud, we visited:<\/strong>

\u2022 Temples like Tirta Empul and Gunung Kawi<\/strong>
\u2022 Local markets<\/strong>

From Ubud, we drove through rice fields toward Sidemen, and this part of the route felt incredibly special. The road itself is already an experience.<\/p>

We stayed one night in a beautiful guesthouse with an infinity pool overlooking the valley, with views toward Bali\u2019s volcanoes in the distance. Waking up here, surrounded by rice fields and silence, felt unreal.<\/p>

Sidemen is quiet, slow, and grounding \u2014 a perfect pause between busier destinations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From Sidemen, we drove to Sanur, where we caught the ferry to Nusa Lembongan.<\/p>

The ferry ride itself is part of the adventure \u2014 not always the smoothest, but memorable. Arriving directly on the beach, shoes in hand, luggage through the sand \u2014 it instantly feels like island life.<\/p>

We stayed two nights on Nusa Lembongan:

Uluwatu (3 Nights)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

After returning to Bali, we headed south to Uluwatu \u2014 cliffs, surf, and sunsets.<\/p>

We stayed three nights, which gave us time to:
\u2022 Visit beaches like Padang Padang and Suluban<\/strong>
\u2022 Relax at beach clubs<\/strong>
\u2022 Watch sunsets at places like Single Fin<\/strong>
\u2022 Explore the Uluwatu Temple and Kecak dance<\/strong><\/p>

Kuta (1 Night)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Before flying home, we spent one night in Kuta. Not my favourite area, but practical for the final night. Close to the airport, easy logistics, and a chance to grab last-minute souvenirs.<\/p>

Sometimes convenience wins \u2014 and that\u2019s okay.<\/p>

From Kuta, it was time to head back to Denpasar Airport and fly home \u2014 tired, sun-kissed, and full of memories.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
